The Health Advocates In-Reach and Research
Nefertiti "Next Level" salon is happy to announce it has adopted the H.A.I.R. Initiative in its salon and focus on the following health topics:

COVID-19 vaccination information and vaccination appointment assistance; Colon cancer and heart disease program information.
Stylist and Barbers are trusted voices in the community
The Health Advocates In-Reach and Research (H .A. I. R.), is a community-based intervention developed by Dr. Stephen B. Thomas and a team of researchers from the Maryland Center for Health Equity at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health in College Park.
The H.A.I.R. Initiative is the outcome of a federally funded successful study in African American Beauty Salons and Barbershops found hairstylists and barbers are a trusted voices in the community.
The H.A.I.R. Initiative works when you give health education training to the Hairstylist; in turn, the client receives informal medical information when it's the right time.
